University Place is a 96-unit newly renovated apartment complex with
elevators for low income
senior adults located in Winston-Salem, NC. Two mid-rise
apartment buildings are a result of a major renovation of the City
Hospital built in the mid-1920's, and located on a beautiful 11 acre
site. This area is close to shopping, doctor's offices,
restaurants, public transportation, and local businesses.
Persons age 62 and older, who qualify financially, are eligible for
residency. One and two bedroom apartments with living room,
kitchen, dining area, bedroom(s) closet, and one bath are available. A part-time
Resident Services Coordinator and a Social Activities Coordinator
are on staff. Van transportation to local businesses and
activities is available one day per week. University Place
Apartments opened in 1981.
